Guest Speakers:
Chris Padgett is a brilliant songwriter, musician, speaker, and worship leader who travels the world giving talks, missions, and concerts. He has six solo albums to his credit, the latest—Impact—recently released by Spirit and Song. One of the most effective champions of family life in the church today, Chris can speak from experience. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for more than 15 years and has eight children. Chris and his wife, Linda, recently published their first book, Not Ready for Marriage, Not Ready for Sex: One Couple’s Return to Chastity, which recounts their journey from courtship to marriage. Chris holds a master’s in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, and has begun doctoral work in Marian studies at the International Marian Research Institute in Dayton, Ohio.

Aaron Davis (17 years old) sent this letter to Chris:
“…When you were telling us about the unexpected things God throws at us... I swear, dude, the beam of light shined down upon me and everything that I was searching answers for... it all came together. I still didn't understand why this God, who is supposed to be loving and caring took me away from everything I loved and cared about. Some God, I thought at times.
But once you showed me how I can make a difference... that's when it dawned on me. THAT is why God brought me to Kentucky. He wants me to touch lives. He wants me to be an example. Chris, you seem very lucky and very blessed. I wish I had the guts to do what you do... you're totally off-the-wall and have not a care in the world whether we thought you were being totally stupid. But, you put a smile on all of our faces. After your talk, I see now... I have it good. I should quit feeling sorry for myself being here and get out there and help others. Words cannot express my gratitude to you for showing me that. Don't be a stranger to Bowling Green. It was really cool having you. I especially enjoyed that first song that you sang that went something like, "I love you, my son..." that was awesome. Take care, God Bless!”

DJ Bill Lage is a Catholic Christian entertainer who has traveled the country for the past thirteen years energizing and connecting with both the young and the young-at-heart, spreading the news that yes, living a life for God can be fulfilling, challenging, and most definitely fun! At the NCCYM in Las Vegas, thousands of youth ministers from across the nation experienced the “Catholic Dance” with DJ Bill. Now it’s time to bring the Catholic Dance to the youth at National Companion Convention III.!
