Cha Nguyễn Văn Thanh, SVD, Chủ tịch phân khoa Kinh Thánh của Liên Hiệp Thần Học Công Giáo cho biết mùa hè năm nay có khoá hội thảo thực hành về kỹ năng giảng thuyết dành cho các linh mục gốc nước ngoài đang phục vụ tại Hoa Kỳ, từ ngày12 tới 16 tháng Bảy năm 2010 tại Chicago, Illinois. Các đề tài xoay quanh bốn yếu tố căn bản liên hệ tới văn hóa Mỹ: kinh thánh, xuyên văn hóa, phụng vụ, và lời rao giảng.

The reason why I write to you is to offer two full scholarships to two Vietnamese priests who would like to attend a preaching workshop held at CTU this summer, July 12-16, 2010. It's a five day workshop for international priests serving in the USA. It's a very innovative preaching workshop focusing on four basic elements for good preaching in the US culture: biblical, cross-cultural, liturgical, and rhetorical. Priests can sharpen your preaching skills in all these four areas in order to help you become more effective minister of the word. Again, since I am the director of the program, I would like to take this opportunity to offer the five days workshop to some of the newly arrived Vietnamese whose English is good enough to understand and can benefit from the workshop. Since they are Vietnamese, I will grant them full scholarship, free of charge, including tuition and room and board.
