CLAREMONT, Los Angeles - The send-off for our WYD 2008 pilgrims was celebrated this last Sunday at the 5:00PM Teen Mass. The group of 26 young men and women of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Claremont, California, departed yesterday evening July 9, 2008 for New Zealand and Australia. With their parents and friends presense. Fr. John Nghi Tran blessed them and wished a safe trip and be empowered with the Holy Spirit. For the last 3 WYDs organized in France, Canada and Germany, our OLA parish always sent our young men and women to participate and to share their living faith experiences with others.
