VietCatholic News Agency, which is directed by a Vietnamese priest in Claremont, California, has published a lengthy analysis of recent disputes in Vietnam between the Church and the Communist government. Back in Hanoi, a Vietnamese Catholic priest cites the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to back Church pleas for recovery of confiscated property: “Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others,” and “No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.”
